Hugh has extensive experience of all types of aircraft-in addition to big piston fighters-his CAA and EASA engineering licence approvals range from the BAe 146 to Tiger Moths. He has held a pilots licence since 1977, has owned the same Auster for 28 years and has a passion for vintage British aircraft. |
Joe is a leading specialist on the P-51. He has in depth engineering experience on over 20 different types of warbird but his favourite is the P-51. With about one day’s maintenance required for each hour flown, engineering is a vital part of the operation.
Hugh has been involved with aviation since 1969 when he joined the RAF
as a Halton 'brat'. His connection with he Old Flying Machine Company
began in 2001, having been in the 'Warbird' world at Duxford since 1995.
